This guide covers the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just before Thotar gives you a taming Rod for a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar will provide you with a number of 3 taming rods, each is different and allows you tame beasts in the subsequent order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Armored Scorpid.
